The SWCC Race Team provides race reimbursements to racers at the end of the season. The reimbursements are based on completing races, not on placement. Note that to be eligible for race reimbursements you must volunteer at club events. Maximum reimbursement per year is $100 and two pieces of clothing.

RACE TEAM AND COMPENSATION GUIDELINES
Southwest Cycling Club will continue to provide compensation to Club members that participate in USCF / NORBA sanctioned races. Compensation is based upon participating (and finishing) races, and not upon placing in the event.
Section 1. Basic Requirements – These must all be met for a Club member to be eligible for cash or clothing
(a) The racer must be a Club member in good standing, with all dues and fees paid up
(b) Reimbursements are based on the calendar year
(c) A racer must “finish” a race, DNF’s do not count as races
(d) A racer must have a USCF / NORBA license listing Southwest Cycling Club as their team (this means an annual license)
(e) Each racer shall volunteer (work) Saturday and Sunday of the Fayetteville Stage Race (requests for alternate arrangements must be submitted to the Race Team Director for approval by the Board)
(f) Each Racer shall also volunteer for one of the following events
(1) Bear Creek Criterium
(2) Good Old Summertime Ride, in Fayetteville
(3) Southwest Schwinn / Spring Valley Cycles Hill Clinic
Section 2. All eligibility requirements are earned individually, and not traded or given away to another racer
Section 3. Cash Reimbursement
(a) $5.00 per In-Town Race, Wednesday Night Crits, One Nights Track Racing (considered one race)
(b) $10.00 per Out of Town Race, Outside the Metro Houston Area
(c) $15 per Stage Race
Section 4. The maximum reimbursement will be $100 per season, per racer
Section 5. Reimbursement will be paid out at the end of the year (by Dec31.)
Section 6. Clothing Allowance
(a) After 5 races racers will earn credit for a jersey for next year
(b) After 10 races, racers will earn credit for a jersey and shorts for next year
